Dangerous weather is moving into California today. In fact, the National Weather Service warns temperatures will rival some of the worst heatwaves the area has ever seen with watches and warnings all over. Governor Newsom says “The impacts of climate change have never been more clear” and he’s asking everyone to protect themselves. A new state campaign called “Heat Ready CA” aims to help. It includes community outreach in person and by phone, along with a website on how to assess one’s risk for extreme heat and stay cool.
