West County residents may see smoke from control burns for the next couple of days. CAL FIRE will manage prescribed burns on Wednesday and Thursday at the Pole Mountain Preserve between Jenner and Cazadero. The burns will take place near the summit of Pole Mountain, the tallest peak in that area, ensuring that the public will see smoke on both days and, in lesser amounts, on the following days. These operations are being monitored closely. Please do not call 911 to report smoke.
