Six people were injured after a tree limb fell on a picnic area in Spring Lake Park in Santa Rosa. On Saturday morning, about 40 people were having a picnic and bible study under the oak trees. That’s when a tree limb cracked and fell onto one of the picnic tables. One woman suffered major injuries, another had moderate injuries, and four people had minor injuries, including a six-year-old boy. All six were taken to the hospital. The group are members of the Lao/Thai Hessel Church in Sebastopol and the Mienh Freewill Baptist Church from El Sobrante in Contra Costa County. This was their yearly joint picnic and bible study.
