Thousands of Sonoma County Customers Lose Power On Monday Due to Many Causes

Over 4,500 customers lost electricity on Monday due to several power failures. The largest outage was in Monte Rio where over 2,500 customers lost power late Monday morning. The cause was unknown. About 700 customers lost power in Sonoma after a tree fell onto power lines near the 1000 block of Hyde Burndale Road. Nearly a thousand customers lost power in Rohnert Park between Roblar and Bloomfield roads. The cause of that outage is unknown. And 140 customers lost power in Santa Rosa along North Dutton Avenue, between Jennings and College avenues due to a failed transformer. Nearly all customers have since had their power restored.
