Napa Motel 6 Being Turned into Transitional Housing Site

A Motel 6 in Napa will be used as transitional housing for homeless residents. On Tuesday, the city council approved a plan to lease out the motel on Solano Avenue for three years. They are hoping to help about 120 homeless residents, housing up to 65 people at a time. The plan is made possible with $15-million in funds from the state’s Encampment Resolution Funding Program. Few residents spoke out against the plan when the council approved it. However, there was significant outcry when it was proposed in January.
