Part of Santa Rosa Avenue is getting a major overhaul in the coming months. The two-point-two-million-dollar project will upgrade the southern entrance to Downtown Santa Rosa and add new bike lanes between Sonoma and Maple Avenues to improve the city’s bike network. It’s the last remaining section of Santa Rosa Avenue without any bike lanes. County and state transportation funding is paying for the project, which is expected to be done by the end of the year.
