Santa Rosa Insurance Broker Who Defrauded Clients Gets Four Years in Prison

A former insurance broker from Santa Rosa will spend time behind bars after being convicted of defrauding his clients. Forty-five-year-old Christopher Ramos has been sentenced to four years in prison for tricking clients into thinking they were paying insurance premiums, then stealing from them. Between 2014 and 2016, he took money from clients who believed they were paying premiums to their insurance carriers. Instead, he kept all the cash for himself. Collectively, clients lost more than $189-thousand and were left uninsured. Ramos was an insurance broker for 16 years.
