Sonoma State has one of the highest rates of sexual harassment complaints in the California State University system. That’s according to a new state audit of sexual harassment reports per one-thousand students. The audit, released Tuesday, also says Sonoma State and other universities use questionable interpretations of harassment policies. For that, State Auditor Grant Parks partially blames a lack of systemwide guidelines. Last year, state lawmakers ordered a legislative review of how the CSU system handles sexual harassment complaints against employees at several campuses, including Sonoma State.
