California ranks among the worst states in which to retire. That’s according to a new study conducted by Bankrate.com. States were graded on weather, affordability, the quality and cost of healthcare, as well as crime. California ranks number 48 on the list. Alaska was number 50 followed by New York. Iowa took the top spot as the best state to retire in, followed by Delaware, West Virginia, Missouri, and Mississippi.
