Santa Rosa Teen Found Guilty in Shooting Death of Friend

A teen has been convicted of shooting a friend to death while they were inside a car in Downtown Santa Rosa. Anthony Patrida-Velasco, who was 17-years-old at the time, shot his friend as they were driving away from a fight they’d been involved in with another group of people in March of 2022. The victim was sitting in the front passenger seat, while Patrida-Velasco was seated behind him. He fired three rounds, with the third hitting the victim in the back. The body was abandoned in an alley and the gun was hidden under a bush. Sentencing is scheduled for August 22nd.
