Petaluma Resident Hospitalized After Getting Attacked by Dog

An aggressive dog that caused some Petaluma residents to have to shelter in place is now in the custody of animal control. Police were called to San Rafael Drive Tuesday afternoon after the dog was found to have attacked one person and was running around loose. Officers had to Taser the animal to keep it from biting them and ultimately corralled it in a front yard. Residents in the area were ordered to stay indoors until the dog could be properly captured. The person bit by the dog suffered moderate injuries and was hospitalized.
