Petaluma Police Give Update on Tuesday’s Dog Attack

The Petaluma Police Department is releasing more information about an incident involving officers and an aggressive dog. Officials say the dog bit a person on Tuesday afternoon. It then charged at a pair of officers as they were checking on the victim, prompting them to use their tasers. The dog then went to a nearby yard, where officers held it until the owner got there. The person who was bitten by the dog was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries. The dog must be quarantined for ten days while North Bay Animal Services investigates what happened.
