Three of the most high-profile public institutions in Santa Rosa are teaming up to stop a proposed apartment complex project. Officials with the Charles M. Schulz Museum, Snoopy’s Home Ice Arena, and Children’s Museum of Sonoma County say the apartments across the street would take away parking, and add more traffic, doing more harm to their businesses and the neighborhood. The developer they’re fighting wants to put 36 apartments on one-acre of currently vacant land. The three institutions are appealing the project’s approval. The Santa Rosa City Council is expected to discuss it during a hearing tomorrow.
