A cyberattack continues to affect the real estate industry in the North Bay and beyond. A ransomware attack launched late last Wednesday is impacting Rapattoni Corporation servers used by the Bay Area Real Estate Information Service, or BAREIS. BAREIS, based in Santa Rosa, serves five of the six North Bay counties. On Monday evening, BAREIS told its nearly 84-hundred users that the system won’t be fully back online by tomorrow as hoped. The ongoing problem means thousands of real estate agents can’t add or update property information online.
