The developer of a proposed apartment complex isn’t backing down despite challenges from the nearby Charles M. Schulz Museum and two other neighboring public institutions. The development team is planning to file for a construction permit with the city of Santa Rosa this fall and start site work next spring. It would bring 36 one-to-three-bedroom apartments to a one-acre plot of land that’s long sat vacant. The Schulz Museum, Children’s Museum of Sonoma County, and Snoopy’s Home Ice Arena are all across the street. Together, they’re trying to block construction, mostly because of parking concerns.
