Cal Fire quickly put out a vegetation fire west of Petaluma on Saturday. The Spring Fire popped up on the 200 block of Spring Hill Road near Helen Putnam Regional Park. Crews responded quickly with air and ground teams and stopped the fire from advancing. It was contained to about 14 acres with no injuries or structures damaged. The cause is still under investigation.
