A local food non-profit has officially bought land for its new home. Last month, Ceres Community Project officially purchased the land for their new headquarters in southwest Santa Rosa for a million dollars. They plan to build a 18,500 square foot facility that’s projected to cost $21-million. They expect to break ground in 2024 and hopefully move in by late 2025. Ceres serves Sonoma and Marin Counties, cooking meals for those with dietary restrictions and health related issues who cannot shop for themselves. They provided over 200-thousand meals in 2022. Ceres hopes to quadruple that when the new facility is built.
