A 19-year-old man is dead after he was hit while trying to cross Highway 101 just south of Santa Rosa. The man was hit by a car late Sunday night. The California Highway Patrol says he was walking west across the highway from a gas station parking lot just north of Todd Road. The man has only been identified as a Vallejo resident. The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
