The man killed on Highway 101 just south of Santa Rosa is being identified as 19-year-old Christopher Perez Jr. of Vallejo. On Saturday night, Perez was walking west across the highway when he was hit by a Chevrolet Camaro going northbound. Perez had major injuries and died at the scene. The driver pulled over and is complying with CHP investigators. He had the right of way and had attempted to avoid hitting Perez. The investigation is ongoing.
