A man from Santa Rosa is behind bars on suspicion of pointing a high-powered laser at a police helicopter. Fifty-nine-year-old Robbie Stewart was arrested Friday night, though the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office didn’t announce it until Sunday. He allegedly shined a blue laser at the helicopter multiple times, temporarily blinding its crew. The Sheriff’s Office helicopter, Henry One, was checking on a report of a vehicle sideshow in southeast Santa Rosa at the time.
