A pedestrian has been killed after getting hit by a truck in southwest Santa Rosa. On Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of Sebastopol Road, a pedestrian tried to cross from the north to the south side of the road. The man was not using a crosswalk. He was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 70-year-old driver. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced dead. Sebastopol Road, between Dutton Avenue and Avalon Avenue, was closed for about two hours while the collision was being investigated. The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police. The investigation is ongoing.
