Windsor Pausing Two Large Construction Projects Due to Funding

The Town of Windsor is putting a pair of large construction projects on hold after running into financial trouble. Excavation and preliminary work at the site of the planned McClelland Hotel started in May. To the northeast, preparation for a community building and 120 apartments at what was to become Vintage Oaks had been going on for the past 15 months. Windsor town planning and building director Patrick Streeter says both projects were suspended due to “evolving economic issues.” The hotel developer is now trying to get a construction loan.
