The updated COVID-19 vaccine is now available at some pharmacies in Sonoma County. CVS pharmacies have been getting shipments this week, with local doctor’s offices and other healthcare providers expected to get them in the coming days. The FDA and CDC approved the new mRNA vaccine for use earlier this week. The agencies say the updated vaccine offers some protection against the latest offshoots of the Omicron COVID subvariant.
