Santa Rosa Police have arrested a driver after a chase that ended in Petaluma. Early Thursday morning, an officer tried to pull over a vehicle in the area of Hearn Avenue and Highway 101. The vehicle didn’t stop and a chase ensued leading onto Highway 101 going south. The suspect, later identified as Rudolfo Cortez-Maldonado, exited onto Petaluma Boulevard North going eastbound before turning around and heading back to the highway. He eventually stopped on the overpass to Highway 101 at Petaluma Boulevard North as officers were attempting a P.I.T. maneuver. After Maldonado was arrested, officers found unpackaged suspected meth scattered across the passenger front floorboard.
