Hearings Being Scheduled in Sacramento Over Insurance Crisis

The California legislature is setting up hearings on the future of homeowners insurance. KCRA says the state is trying to avoid a collapse in the insurance market after several major companies, including State Farm, Allstate and Farmers left California, with wildfires being one of the concerns. San Diego State Senator Toni Atkins says California needs to work with the community to spread the risk across all pools of people impacted, and fairly get people the policies they need while sharing the costs.
