Sonoma County has shut down a 68-year-old woman’s home eatery after a complaint from a neighbor. Sonoma County Director of Environmental Health Christine Sosko says someone recently complained about the Santa Rosa woman preparing and selling food out of her home, and about the heavy traffic it allegedly caused. The woman, Salome Arenas, told county health inspectors she is not running a business out of her home. Health inspectors disagreed and shut her down earlier this month. Speaking with the Press Democrat, Arenas’ son, Juan Carlos, says his mother has been feeding people in Santa Rosa for 30 years.
