Solo-Vehicle Crash on Montgomery Drive Kills a Teenage Girl and Injures Three Others

One person died in a solo-vehicle crash on Montgomery Drive in Santa Rosa. The crash happened Friday night on the 5100-block of Montgomery Drive when the car crashed into a creek and caught on fire. Two nearby residents helped three people get out of the vehicle. However, 17-year-old Emma Rose Walker in the back seat died from her injuries. One passenger, Christian Pappas, suffered life-threatening injuries while another unidentified passenger was taken to a burn center. The driver, 21-year-old Jaden Pruett Steed, suffered minor injuries. Police found that was driving drunk and at a high rate of speed when the crash happened. He was arrested on two DUI charges and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
