Californians Get Another Tax Extension From the IRS

The tax deadline for Californians impacted by last winter’s severe storms is being extended once again. The normal April deadline had been extended to Monday. The IRS is now pushing the deadline to file 2022 taxes back by another month, to November 16th. The first extension gave impacted Californians more time to claim deductions for disaster-related losses. Most taxpayers in all but three of California’s counties, Lassen, Modoc and Shasta, automatically qualify for the extension.
