More money from the American Rescue Plan Act funding will go to community-based organizations. The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors have committed a second year of ARPA funds to the Career Technical Education Foundation and tentatively funded 25 other community projects. The second year of funding will run from January 1st through the end of 2024. The Board also received an update on how ARPA money had been used so far since May 2022. It has funded 487,000 meals and given almost 450 people direct financial assistance. Additionally, more than 100 people have received workforce development and career preparation training, and 175 people have received intensive mental health support.
