A woman has been sentenced to nine years in state prison after being convicted in connection with a shooting and attempted robbery in Santa Rosa. The shooting happened nearly one year ago today, on October 28th, 2022. Prosecutors say Valerie Saenz did not pull the trigger, a second suspect did, but she was a very active accomplice. Saenz pleaded no contest to several gun and robbery-related charges in May. She will be eligible for parole in three years.
