Donté Watson Hired as Director of Santa Rosa’s Recreation and Parks Department

The City of Santa Rosa has picked a new director for its Recreation and Parks department. Donté Watson most recently served as the Acting Assistant Director of Parks Recreation and Youth Development for the City of Oakland, where he supervised over 109 employees and oversaw a budget of $26 million. Watson is a Certified Park and Recreation Professional, with over twenty years of leadership experience in recreation program development, operations, and facilities management. Watson will start on November 6th.
