Sonoma County will update the public on their climate change goals next Wednesday. Supervisors Susan Gorin and Lynda Hopkins will host a virtual town hall on November 1st to update the public on Sonoma County’s response to climate change and to gather public input on a plan to achieve the county’s climate and resiliency goals. The supervisors will moderate panel discussions reviewing local and regional efforts to adapt to our changing climate. The public will have opportunities to pose written questions to the panelists. During the forum, the county’s Climate Action & Resiliency Division will provide an overview of its efforts to develop a Climate Resilience Master Action Plan, which will lay out a path for the county to become carbon neutral, zero waste and resilient by 2030. The virtual town hall is next Wednesday at 6 PM.
