Catholic Charities Gets Funding for Two More Street Outreach Workers in Santa Rosa

Catholic Charities is adding two more workers to its street outreach efforts in downtown Santa Rosa. Late last month, the Santa Rosa City Council approved $100,000 in federal pandemic aid to hire the two workers. They will be working between 11 AM  and 7 PM weekdays in the area around Old Courthouse Square, Railroad Square, the West End and St. Rose neighborhoods, as well as in downtown parks. Press Democrat reports that Catholic Charities will deploy the workers as soon as they are hired. They will be part of Catholic Charities’ Homeless Outreach Services Team, or HOST, which already serves downtown but often gets called to other areas.
