The western portion of Sonoma County is facing a ten to 15-percent chance of thunderstorms today. The North Bay coast and the inland portions of Sonoma County are also facing an increased chance of hazardous lightning strikes. Through midday, more than a half inch of rain is possible across the coastal mountains and up to four-tenths of an inch of rain is possible across the inland valleys. It follows a weekend that saw light rain falling on and off in the North Bay region.
