The 23-year-old man accused of beheading his grandmother at a home in Santa Rosa is now charged with murder. Luis Aroyo-Lopez is accused of killing the 64-year-old woman last Thursday, leaving with her head, then fleeing to San Francisco. The head was later recovered on the south bank of Santa Rosa Creek, just south of downtown. Lopez had just been released from state prison a few days before the attack. He was supposed to check in with the probation department on Thursday but never did.
