Yet another local city council meeting has been disrupted by antisemitic and racist comments. It happened during the public comment section of Wednesday’s Sonoma City Council meeting. The hateful comments were made during Zoom calls, in which one person also released personal information about one of the council members. The virtual comments were muted and the people were kicked out of the meeting. Unlike other city councils that also had to deal with hate speech in recent weeks, the Sonoma City Council says it will not be doing away with public comments made via Zoom.
