The father of the former Montgomery High School student accused of stabbing a fellow student to death on campus in March says his son was afraid to go to school. The suspect’s father took the stand in his son’s voluntary manslaughter trial on Tuesday. The man says students threatened to jump his son when he returned to school from a five-day suspension on March 1st, the day of the deadly stabbing. The boy also allegedly received a photo from a classmate that showed his name written in a bathroom with the letter “K” next to it. That, the father says, meant his son was “marked for death.” After that, he says, his son feared for his life and didn’t want to go to school.
