Stolen Humvee recaptured (Sonoma County Sheriff)
The search is over for a Humvee stolen from the National Guard armory in Santa Rosa. The California Highway Patrol chased it yesterday for almost 30 minutes, starting just outside Sebastopol to Highway 116, and then Stony Point Road. It ended in Penngrove after Petaluma Police used a spike strip, causing the tires to flatten. The driver is accused of shooting at an empty PG&E truck before the pursuit. The CHP believes he also stole the vehicle in July.
