Pile burning operations at Salt Point State park will continue. Cal Fire says they have burned about 500 piles since November 13th at the coastal park and expect to burn around 2,000 piles by the time they are finished on December 10th. Of course, that will be dependent on the weather. No trail closures are anticipated, but the public is advised to use extreme caution while driving near prescribed fire operations due to fire personnel and equipment in the area. If you see fire or smoke in the area, please do not call 911.
