Santa Rosa City Schools have filed a cross complaint against the students’ parents involved in the fatal Montgomery High School Stabbing. They allege general negligence and strict liability against the parents of the stabber, Daniel Pulido, and the parent of one of the other students that attacked him but survived. The district claims their failures to oversee the students resulted in the death of Jayden Pienta. This cross complaint comes after Pienta’s parents filed a wrongful death lawsuit accusing the Santa Rosa City Schools district, as well as school and district administrators, for failing to protect their son.
