The pending one-point-nine-billion-dollar merger between Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines is not expected to have an immediate impact on Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport. Airport Manager Jon Stout says he has not been made aware of any changes at this time. He also says it will be another year to year-and-a-half before the merger officially closes. It also depends on getting the approval of federal regulators. Stout says Alaska Airlines has looked into the possibility of flying from Santa Rosa to Hawaii in the past, but it’s not feasible yet.
