Sonoma County’s living wage rate is going up from $17.65 per hour to $18.10 per hour. The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors voted to approve the two-point-eight-percent increase on Tuesday. It is based on the consumer price index calculated by the U.S. Department of Labor. The board last approved an increase of the county’s living wage rate in July. The county’s Living Wage ordinance sets a minimum wage for workers employed directly by the county government and workers at certain private companies and nonprofits that contract with the County of Sonoma.
