Six people have been arrested in Santa Rosa for organized retail theft and identity theft. Late Monday morning, two men entered a clothing store on the 2400 block of Magowan Drive and stole dozens of designer jackets before fleeing in a car driven by a woman. A witness grabbed the car’s license plate number and gave it to the police. Police pulled it over that evening, detaining three people and finding one of the jackets, meth, and evidence of identity theft and check fraud. Police then located the two men involved at a motel on Santa Rosa Avenue, arresting them and another woman believed to be involved in the retail theft. About a quarter of the stolen jackets were recovered with most of the merchandise believed to have already been sold off for profit.
