Five More COVID Deaths Reported in Sonoma County for November

COVID-19 is still affecting the lives of Sonoma County residents. Five people died last month after being infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 illness. All of them were over the age of 50 with the oldest between 85 and 95 years of age. The total number of Covid-deaths in Sonoma County is now at 585. The December high for COVID hospitalizations was 29 on December 10th. Press Democrat reports that only 17-percent of the county’s residents eligible to receive the updated COVID vaccine have done so. Meanwhile, 31-percent of residents have received this year’s flu vaccine and only 12-percent have been vaccinated against RSV. You can go to the county’s website to find out more about the vaccine and where to get it.
