A pedestrian is in critical condition after getting hit by a car in Santa Rosa. Last night after 11 PM, police responded to the intersection of Sebastopol Road and Dutton Avenue to reports of a BMW hitting a pedestrian. The victim was unconscious, lying in the roadway, and suffered critical injuries. They were taken to a local hospital where they remain. The BMW driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police. It doesn’t appear the driver was under the influence, nor does it appear that speed was a factor. It is unclear if the pedestrian was in the crosswalk, but it does appear that the BMW had the right of way with a green light.
