According to a new report California is among the more expensive states in the US when it comes to utility bills. The report by doxoINSIGHTS reveals the average utility bill in California is $368 per month with the national average at $351. Comparing the largest cities across the US, Los Angeles has the 3rd highest average utility bills at $455 per month and San Jose in the Bay Area comes in fifth at $439 a month. Topping the list is outside the Golden State with Milwaukee at $538 and New York City at $511.
