Sonoma County leaders are not planning on opening warming centers this week, even though overnight and early morning temperatures are hovering just above freezing. Officials from cities and the county say they’re monitoring the weather, and do not believe it will meet the temperature threshold to open emergency spaces. In most Sonoma County cities, extreme cold policies don’t take effect unless there are consecutive nights of below-freezing temperatures. Tomorrow is expected to be the coldest day of the week in inland Sonoma County. A low of 33 degrees is in the forecast.
