A forum on the gun crisis will be discussed in Petaluma’s Lucchesi Community Center towards the end of January. Organized by the Petaluma chapter of the American Association of University Women, the forum will bring experts together to discuss the causes and effects of gun deaths, and how they can be prevented. North Bay Congressmen Jared Huffman and Mike Thompson are scheduled to speak at the forum provided they are not called away to DC. Other speakers include Dr. John Maa of San Francisco Marin Medical Society, Heather Jennings of Sonoma County Moms Demand Action, Superintendent Amie Carter of the Sonoma County Office of Education, and Brian Miller, interim chief of the Petaluma Police. The forum is Sunday, January 28th from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Lucchesi Community Center.
