Santa Rosa police have made an arrest in the case of a 2022 shooting death at Northwest Community Park. Last Wednesday, police arrested 23-year-old Manuel Rivera for the shooting death of Connor Bundock. In April of 2022, Bundock and two friends were near the softball fields adjacent to Comstock Middle School on West Steele Lane, when Rivera and a yet-to-be-identified suspect approached them. Rivera and the other suspect began yelling gang challenges at them. The two suspects then attempted to rob Bundock and a struggle followed during which Rivera shot Bundock in the upper torso. Rivera and the other suspect fled on bikes with some stolen items while Bundock died at the scene. After Rivera was arrested, police served a search warrant on his home and seized several electronic devices.
