On Sunday, residents of Littlewoods Mobile Villa, Carriage Court and Countryside mobile home parks picketed at Lucchesi Park in Petaluma to show support for Cotati-based Countryside Mobile Home Park residents. They also shared stories about rent increases and the lack of affordable housing. It comes as Countryside’s owners have publicly threatened to close the park after city leaders considered updating caps on annual rent increases for mobile home parks. The protests was organized by the North Bay Organizing Project and the Sonoma County Tenants Union.
